Ruttkowski;68 X WEMOTO X DRAW A LINE

Cologne

On occasion of their current exhibition with American artist Mark Jenkins, Ruttkowski;68 gallery teamed up with Wemoto and DRAW A LINE.

Mark Jenkins creates life-like sculptures made from tape. His work is so realistic that it’s almost impossible to discern, until you get close enough, whether the figure standing on top of a roof, sitting alone in a corner or jutting out of a garbage can is a human or a sculpture. When Mark Jenkins was at Ruttkowski:68 gallery in summer 2013, he made sculptures that invaded the city center of Cologne. One of them was Like Father, Like Son. It became the starting point for the collaboration.

German streetwear label, Wemoto that just celebrated its 10th anniversary last fall, designed a tee sporting the Like Father, Like Son subject.

DRAW A LINE, specialized on limited edition artist prints, created two Like Father, Like Son prints. And, by the way, they reissued our interview with Jenkins.

While you can buy it all separately, there is also a limited box set including a print, tee and a copy of Jenkins’s monograph The Urban Theater.

And, of course, there are even more artworks by Mark Jenkins on show at Ruttkowski;68 gallery through May 18th. You can have a look at it here.
