American artist Shepard Fairey, who is also know by his artist name OBEY, was invited by the Maus Málaga and the Modern Art Center, CAC Málaga, to paint an 80’ tall x 30’ wide mural in the center of the rising art community in Málaga.

While we never really paid attention to the Spanish city and its art scene, the exhibition of Selim Varol’s art collection at CAC Málaga earlier this year, was a watershed moment. Ever since a lot has happened thanks to authorities who dare the new. All current art events are due to young curator Fernando Frances, who obviously has a good sense of direction – he calls some of the most important artists of today to Málaga and lets the city flourish in any way. Most recently, Shepard Fairey is at work:
