San Francisco

Casey Gray is currently presenting Wave Pool, his new solo show at the Park Life Gallery. The San Francisco-based artist exhibits named “Wavy” paintings that undulate through the canvas to create summery vibrant shapes. They respond to the same measurement, 16 x 12 inches, and are numerically produced. Very fresh and sunny.

A Martini glass with its bound to happen olives, an anchor or a strawberry, Casey Gray’s icons are definitely summer inspired. His rippled motifs are digitally composed in a still-life atmosphere. Gray picks images without former relation. They link themselves through the exhibition and found their similarity in the making process. With a playful and pigmented vision, the American artist distorts his imagery to convey moving shapes, reminiscence of the op art. Mixing real symbols with a virtual creating means, Casey Gray displays an exploration of his surroundings through this Wave Pool show.
