Ambika P3 and A Nos Amours collaborated in order to create a major exhibition devoted to Chantal Ackerman. The Belgian filmmaker who pasted away less than a month ago is characterized by her beautiful imagery that combines everyday human cruelty with engaging music.

On the occasion of the ‚No Home Movie‘ (2015) release, a premiere on English-speaking soil, Ackerman is honored by a solo exhibition entitled ‘NOW’. A variety of works from 1995 to 2015 including her Venice Biennale installation are on view. Always making a duet out of her soundtrack and images, the filmmaker is one of the most remarkable one of the 21st century. Her filmography comprises references such as ‘Jeanne Dielman, 23, quai du commerce, 1080 Bruxelles’ (1975) or ‘Un divan a New York‘ (1996). All highly inspired by her Jewish confession and her tortuous relationship to her mother.

Emotions were a main lead for the filmmaker, fact observable through this first postmortem exhibition that enlightens many history facts. Thus, the fall of Communism, the tangible South American racism of the Middle East terrorism are all raised with concern and hope by the Belgium film director.
