London

New York-based artist Cory Arcangel is presenting his second show with Lisson Gallery. Entitled currentmood, the show refers to social media habits like making several words to one word.

Mass media is a reoccurring topic in Archangel’s works. His Super Mario Clouds series is an appropriation of the Nintendo game background, Tetris Screwed is a modified version of the eponymous game while Photoshop Gradient Demonstrations series mindfully uses the Photoshop image-processing software. For currentmood, Arcangel presents an offline and online exhibition. Offline, his work can be seen at 27 Bell Street in London with scans of Ibiza flyers, photoshopped images and low-res screen captures. Online, the artist presents artworks dispersed all over the Internet.
