Corridor&Stairs currently hosts Diane Pernet, Shadows of an Icon, a unique selection of Diane Pernet’s private and intimate images and documents. Diane Pernet means independent fashion. She is considered one of today’s most influential bloggers with her by-now legendary ‚A Shaded View on Fashion‘. Hers is a global activity, ranging from Georgia to Japan, in a search to discover and promote emerging talent through her light yet deep, educated yet detached, view: never rhetorical, never arrogant. Pernet’s great merit is to have opened up paths that wander far from the mainstream and to have legitimized languages and themes which are now central to the contemporary scene. And so fashion photography and independent video have been seen in the Pompidou, Paris, or the Caixa Forum, Barcelona, as part of the Asvoff festival.

Diane Pernet, Shadows of an Icon consists of fragments, shadows, visual devices and newspaper cuttings that recount meetings, projects, a life, all immersed in the distant memories of when Diane was one of the most promising fashion designers on the New York scene.
