„To take a photograph is to align the head, the eye and the heart. It’s a way of life.“ Henri Cartier-Bresson (1908 – 2004), one of the founders of photographers collective Magnum, states and brings indeed to show in his photographs. The Paris-based Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation momentary showcases his ingenuity, bringing it together with the work of likewise inspiring and influential photographer Paul Strand (1890 – 1976).
Paul Strand was an American photographer and filmmaker who, along with fellow modernist photographers like Alfred Stieglitz and Edward Weston, helped establish photography as an art form in the 20th century.
