Cologne-based gallery, Die Kunstagentin, is currently exhibiting new works by Swiss artist Smash 137. Entitled Streunergold, the works on display represent a colorful non-lettering graffiti approach.

Working with the classical graffiti spray cans, Smash’s works have cleared off from the streets to take a more abstract overview. Smash 137 whose real name is Adrian Falkner, has actually abandoned any writing representation. But he kept the instruments of the urban art while developing his own way of expression. Falkner states that it is not what you do but how you do it. Therefore, his methods are deeply thought. The tools, colors, directions; nothing about his work is just made by chance. The result is quite different given that his lively and pigmented artworks appear as free from form and open to interpretation.
